What you will learn

  • Prepare a draft kit and review its assets
  • Create one follow-up task from a live revenue finding
  • Compare assumptions using a live audience without sending

A growing business wants to welcome new leads, catch stalled deals and estimate a campaign before activating it.

Lesson 1

Launch with drafts and a checklist

A launch kit uses the existing playbook services to prepare a BU-scoped audience, designed email, draft flow and report. It also assigns three checklist tasks to the user who prepared it. The kit never activates a flow or sends a message. Review targeting, sender identity, consent, links and the Flow Simulator before activation. Repeating the same request does not duplicate its assets.

Lesson 2

Choose a kit for the business moment

Open Business tools → Launch kits for Welcome new leads, Recover inactive customers, Follow up after purchase, Nurture open leads, Onboard new customers or Win back lost deals. The first three cover lead, retention and commerce moments; the additional kits use current Contact or Deal data. Each prepares draft assets and assigned checklist tasks for review. Send Flows remains the place to edit and activate the resulting flow. A kit can be removed with its associated draft assets through the Business tools kit controls; inspect its review first. A sales kit requires access to Deals and the other assets still require the permissions displayed in Business tools.

Lesson 3

Make the BU navigation manageable

A Settings manager can open Settings → Navigation and hide or show entire headings or individual modules for this Business Unit. Save changes to update the sidebar for BU users; navigation visibility does not change record access, permissions or API behavior. A person can collapse or expand CRM, Marketing and other headings for their own workspace. When the icon sidebar is collapsed, expand it to manage headings. Account settings remains reachable from the account menu even if the Administration heading is hidden.

Lesson 4

Understand a radar finding

Revenue radar reads current BU records: open deals whose record has not been updated for 14 days, leads over two days old without a linked task, and assigned active coupons due to expire within seven days. A deal amount is pipeline at risk, not recovered revenue. Create task links follow-up to the source record and will not create a duplicate task for the same finding. The underlying record may need review even when a task exists.

Lesson 5

Estimate with transparent assumptions

Scenario Preview recomputes the selected audience and counts currently eligible and suppressed email addresses. Enter your own conversion percentage, average order value, discount per order and per-email cost. It estimates orders and value from those inputs; it does not predict conversion, verify inventory, send email or change contacts. A saved scenario is a dated snapshot for the current user in this BU. Recalculate when audience membership or consent changes.

Lesson 6

Put formula fields into object views

Create or edit formulas in Formula fields or Objects & fields. A formula is read only and can use numeric standard or custom fields on the selected standard or custom object. Use Visibility to hide an optional formula field or set a field condition. In an object list, choose fields, select the formula column and save your personal view. Calculated values are evaluated from current BU records; reports and Data Finder can use the same fields. For large object lists, the view calculates up to 1,000 recent records; use reports for a larger analysis.

Practice · Plan and review a business action

  1. Open Business tools → Launch kits and prepare Welcome new leads. Review its draft Audience, Email, Send Flow, Report and assigned Tasks.
  2. Open Revenue radar. Check the source record before creating a follow-up task for a stalled deal or unworked lead.
  3. Open Scenario preview, choose a saved Audience and enter an expected conversion rate, order value and costs. Calculate, then save a snapshot.
  4. Return after changing audience membership and calculate again to compare the live eligible count.
